We often are asked questions regarding our grant and mini-grant process.
Hopefully this page will address some of those issues.
If you have a question regarding the application process,
send it to
bill@r14music4kids.org and we will post your question and answer.
Mini-grants, currently available up to $200, is earmarked for educational expenses in music. These typically could be summer music camp, initiating private instruction, participation in a special activity or festival. We currently do not give grants to make individual purchases towards instruments or other equipment costs.

In applying for a grant from the Foundatation, the application includes all the necessary information. Of utmost importance are the signatures of the Region 14 Music Coordinator and the school administrator at the school where the grant request will take place. This insures that there is district approval for the grant activity. It is also imperative that you include a letter outlining the activity for which the grant request is being made. See the application for more information. (Applications available on the download page.)

All grants are approved by the entire board of the Foundation. The board meets on the last Monday of the month except June, July and December. Therefore all grants may take at least 30 days to get approved. Sooner is always better. We recommend you contact us if you have ideas for requests prior to making the application. This enables us to secure funding when necessary.
